Sheer feather flowers

Organza ribbon flowers

With Easter around the corner sneaking up, these would be cute to add to your crafty projects, gifts and cards etc...
There are so many different ways to make your own flowers out of ribbon.

I have tried many different ways and love many of them but this is quick and easy.
Here are just a few that I have created.

Light baby blue...

White...

Aqua...

These are easy to make All you need is...
  • A small one inch circle of cardstock for the flower base
  • 8 Two inch strips of sheer ribbon or any ribbon of choice
  • 1 Five inch piece of same sheer ribbon
  • 1 rhinestone
  • 1 feather
  • needle and thread
  • hot glue

Take the five inch piece of ribbon and do the running stitch along one side lengthwise and gather it as you go. connect the two ends together making a circle. fasten off with a knot or two.

I hot glue the rhinestone in the center now.
Set aside for now

Take four of the 2 inch strips and one by one fold in half and hot glue the open ends to the circle base in a four leaf clover pattern. Now in between each of those you just glued in place adhere the last four strips.

Adhere the flower center we made first to the center with a bit of hot glue and all that is left is to attach a feather stick it in between the ribbon and circle adhere with hot glue.

Happy Creating!
