handmade toys for furbabies

I am forever looking for new ideas online for gift ideas for our furbabies.
Sometimes they get forgot when it comes to holidays.

I wanted to remedy that besides giving them special treats.
I like to recycle items when i can besides lets face it toys are not cheap for them.

So here is the cute toy i made

i made these with cats and kittens in mind
however,
i have found a few dogs like them too.
win win in my opinion.
for bigger animals i would omit the bell foe safety reasons and maybe even add a few for dangles to play with.

These are great for beginners and easy to work up
i love using mine for wash cloths but i do grab an occasional one for dishes
either the case they are amazing to work with.

less contribution to the landfills. they last much longer than store bought sponges and cloths.

plus you can microwave them for 30 seconds to kill bacteria in between tossing in your washer and dryer.

love giving as gifts as well perfect for all ages. pair with a yummy scented soap and boom last minute gift done.

beginner knit gift idea

I am always looking for a quick gift idea.
Something that looks beautiful or awesome and not at all rushed.
Well here is one answer.
this super lovely hat.

I used worsted weight yarn to create this lovely.
Below is a close up of the pattern i used.

The hat turns out just a wee bit slouchy but even the non slouch lover will like this hat. unless of course you enjoy a tight fitting hat. hopefully not one that squeezes your brains, lol
I did a very quick decrease on this one and i really like the design it created.

What a Cry Baby

I have been sketching a wee bit.
I kinda fell behind in my sketching due to lack of mojo, inspiration or what not.
So i decided i needed to put graphite to paper and  try to get over it.

I Love sketching and drawing but i can not get any better unless i get my butt in gear and just do it.
So here i go!

I really love how this turned out
I was inspired by the idea that guys are big babies especially when they are sick.
Here is my outcome

A zoomed in piece actually.

to see this and more sketches i did recently to get out of my funk

Making one a week

I started making these one a week to have a good stash by the end of the year.
If I fall behind I am not worried they work up quick and are pretty brainless
hahaha

I enjoy making washcloths, dishcloths not only for friends and family but also for myself.
I love using these in my home.
not only are they cotton they are 100 percent machine washable and dryable.
no-nonsense supplies are the best.

I use the grannys favorite dishcloth pattern I love the look with the eyelits.
These are the perfect size.
they do not flop around slinging soapy water everywhere, they are a perfect hand size to do the job.

I have a video on yt click below!

Bumble stays warm

Crochet Cowl

Bumble knows how to stay warm in the cold!

I had so much fun making these cowls to stuff away in my gift box. These are great to give to all ages. Everyone likes to stay warm on the colder days and nights.

I used a g hook and worsted weight yarn
I created this using the snapdragon stitch it is fun and easy to remember.
Special stitch- (v stitch) dc, ch1, dc

Chain 93 slip stitch to join careful not to twist

1.  Chain 3, DC in third chain from hook 5 times, *skip 3 chains, v stitch in 4th chain, skip 3 chains, 5DC in next chain *repeat til end DC chain 1 slip stitch join to chain 3

2.  Chain 3 turn work, 2dc in same space, skip 3dc, v stitch in next dc, *in next ch 1 space 5dc, v stitch in 4th dc *repeat around 2dc in beginning 3dc space slip stitch join.

3.  Chain 4 and turn work, *5dc in next chain 1 space, v stitch in 4th dc *repeat around dc in beginning chain 4 space slip stitch to top chain.

repeat rows 2 and three until desired height. I did 21 rounds
To complete the cowl and make it really look polished I do a,

Chain 1 sc around and slip stitch to join.
Fasten off and weave in ends.

I would love to see yours if you make one!

Baby Owl Cocoon

Crochet Baby Owl Cocoon

Recently I completed this custom order for a new mama to be.

I love how it turned out it is so adorable and cozy warm for baby. I used bulky weight yarn to create this cute bunting. Being the first time i have ever made a baby cocoon it took a bit longer than usual but it was definitely worth it.

It is a set the cocoon comes with a hat for either newborn, 3-6 months or 6-9 months. Below is a close up picture. The eyes were requested closed but can also be open. I love this sweet bunting. A perfect gift for baby, and mama to be. Being acrylic blend it is easy to wash and lay flat to dry.

The recipient adored it! It warms my heart to create for others.
