Flower embellishments

I forgot how much I loved crochet!

I have put down the hooks for so long and picked up my knitting needles and been stitching along. I have been slowly finishing items no where near as quick as my crochet projects but just as rewarding. Albeit, much less productive.

I busted these cuties out in one siting. Yep i go until my hand ramps from the tiny hook. XD
But everyone has a breaking point, so i had to quit for the night.

I was recently gifted some buttons from Kristina (CraftyPaws on YT) through a wishing video from CraftyLori on YT. Please check them both out and show them some love!

Anyways, I used some of those buttons to create some crochet button flowers! I think they turned out cute! They could be used on all your projects knit, crochet project life, scrapbooking, pocket letters and flip books to name a few.

Check out my YT channel to see the video on these super cute flowers I created! Here's a peek to wet your pallet!

You be the judge, cute or what?!

Pop up cards!

After a long hiatus, I am back into making some cards! It has been so nice to pull out some paper and start creating. I wanted to try something a little new, new to me at least.

I had this sizzix pop n cuts die sitting on the shelf for some time now and never did get around to using it. So what better time than now right?

I used tpc studio papers and studio g cardstock embellishments as well as a few other die cuts and stamps to create the following lovelies.  i also used Tiddly inks, cc designs and the greeting farm images to adorn my cards. I hope you like them!

The inside is magical I love how the image pops right out at you! the best part is all the work is done for you with the pop n cuts die.

Here is another card I did just like the last with triple mounting and some embellies.

I kept the inside simple on this one so it is more subtle. I like how it turned out.
I think this would be a super sweet birthday card!

Dream big! Love the paper and hot air balloon on this card, perfect for the traveler or just someone who is a distance away...

How about sending love, hugs, well wishes across the miles...
Love this cc designs image.

I had so much fun making these cards, I think I may make a few more! They are so fun and addicting almost as good as chocolate! Ha nah nothing is that good! XD

Wool Free cast on

I noticed the other day,
that I didn't have a small on the go project,
so of course i had to remedy it!

Stored in my The Silver Shed USA bag is a vanilla self striping sock!

I love making socks because they are portable and slip easy into your purse on the go. They don't take up much room and do not call for much concentration either which can be a very good thing on the go! haha

This is going to be a gift to my daughter as these are some of her colors. The colorway is called Rainforest. I really love how it is working up so far!

She is super excited for these, so lets hope i'm out and about to get some progress made!

A new...er Cast on

I have started a ten stitch blanket!

Like many other fiber artists I have a plethora of yarn scraps. The problem is with each new project the scrap pile grows...

So in order to decrease and hopefully deplete said pile I have started a scrappy blanket! I have taken leftovers from other projects and russian joined the yarns to create a monster yarn ball.

It is super awesome! This way I can knit and knit and not have to join new yarn with each scrap color! And the best part less ends to weave in, Aww yea!

I like how it is coming together so far, It takes longer and longer to get to a corner with each round... I have a feeling this may take quite some time to complete but I am quite fine with that!

If you want to keep up with my progress be sure to follow my other social media accounts!
I post more often to instagram and yt!

Have a great day!

Back in Black...ink

I am quite excited to be back!

(with a new name and look too!)

I took much needed time to wrap my head around the craziness we all call life. I lost my mojo and pretty much all desire to create. A few days passed and I realized that sitting around was not an option...

I get bored easy and also feel guilty... I always need to be doing something. My mind works in overdrive even though my mouth and hands sometimes can not keep up. I switched from craft to craft before settling down and actually being bit by the knitting bug. Anyone who follows me on Ravelry and Instagram can attest to that.

However, the mojo slowed especially since the weather started getting warmer, not much but some. Now the bigger projects got set aside for lighter items and then it finally happened...

The pencil and paper came out...

I was like "okay I'm going outside and I'm going to sketch."  all well and good but then I started wondering what I'm going to draw, where I'm going to sit... as you can see I started putting pressure on myself and overthinking again trying to stress myself before I even started...I took a breath stepped outside, walked the yard a little and ended back on the porch looking at the barn...

THERE IT IS!
I picked up the charcoal and started sketching. It was over so fast I was excited and ready for the next one...

I then re-sketched the same image in graphite and did a quick watercoloring with my Faber Castell watercolor pencils.

But then I realized um yea what now so I sat back and decided that I would start a monthly challenge to ease back in.

This was the best idea ever! I was able to sketch and not feel pressure. The best part is that with each new sketch I was more inspired and had ideas floating in my head for my own creations. So I jotted them down keeping for reference later.

I know I rambled all over the place here, but this is how my thoughts occur...sporadic, sometimes fragmented but you get enough to get the jist. Truth is I found my love for drawing again and aim to keep focused on doing what I love not what I have to. (you know what I mean?)

Ahhh, it sure is good to be back! ;0)

if you are interested I have a challenge on my YT right now called Birthday Fun! don't have to mail anything in unless you want to! I hope yo drop by!

Off to get some sketching in!
