Some paper ornaments

Here are a few of the ornaments I made. I was inspired by Cynthia who is the scrsppybookworm on YT. I have also made a video on these so please feel free to head to my YT channel.
I made four of each.

Here are the green ones all were made from paper scraps I am doing very good at depleting my scrsp bin! I added a stamped image to the center and a leaf I had left over from other projects.

Here on these which I call my red ones I added a red floer with a snowflake die cut and a circle folded up and a tile from Erica on top. Love it!

Here is my blue ones and I love these I added a blue and white flower a stamped image and two layered snowflakes with glitter. I think these are my fave.

I have hole punched them all and threaded an organza ribbon through each for hanging! Hope you all like them!

Adult Cartoon drawing its ok its PG lol

I made this picture on poster paper so yes this is a big project. I drew all the images and then inked it and colored it with prisma color pencils. The colored part is the cartoon part what you would expect in a kids book the realistic part is the adult part once you put them together you get a fantasy image that both kids and adults can enjoy.
This was a work of love...that is all I can say lol
I hand stipled, hatched and cross hatched each and every piece. the uncolored portion is from sight I had the plants in front of me while I drew them, the characters were from memory that I have seen before but drawn from memory.
I really need to get a frame for this so I can hang it, but for now it will return to my drawing case.

Close up of the top!

Close up of the bottom!

I did a video on YT also.

Would love to hear what you think!

What a long day!

I have been gone all day!

It has been a long trying week and it isn't over yet! I haven't gotten in my craft room except to make a quick card for my grandma who is going in for surgery on her leg on Monday. I have been back and forth with Dr appointments and shopping (food).  I just got home and started dinner.

I have been crafting a little but mainly crochet. At that is a little here and there. I am so wiped out and the crazy holiday madness hasn't even begun! lol But the good news is...

that there is very little I have left to buy for christmas but I have a list of makes and little energy! I also do not have much to do to ready our home for the holidays either. we are decorating a little at a time and have plenty of time yet. :0)

Finally my Thyroid is down in normal range and I am just maintaining it. However, I have to return to the Dr. to figure out what else is going on know since some symptoms where not remedied from the Thyroid getting under control...Uggg more testing.

Anyways, I am going to try to keep up with videos and the blogs as much as I can, and making them for you all. :0)

I will be keeping the Digi shop open! (for now at least) so if you are interested in any please feel free to contact me! :0)

Hope you Have a wonderful day and a fantastic weekend!

Perspective and proportion picture

I have not completed this project yet and I'm not sure if I will...I stopped working on it and when I do that sometimes I lose the vision I was going for so if it ever comes back you may see this again just further along! lol

I hand draw all the images and shade them according to perspective and proportion. Here is the project as a whole. I love music and art and I can not have art with out music. Music can be with out art but there are few times my mind is not on art.
Here I combined them! First you pick your vanishing point and all items that are angular will be drawn from rays from the vanishing point. Items like the little creature on the lower right has it's own perspective so it has it's own vanishing point. Art can be confusing but beautiful and easy to those who understand the techniques.
I am done with technical terms sorry guys...lol

This is the explosion (vanishing point) I picked an explosion because in my mind creativity is an explosion! it flies out in all directions, sometimes wreaking havoc...like messing up our craft rooms lol

this is an eraser which is one that I like to use, second only to my kneaded one!

This is a prism with spray and a bottle cap.

This is a broken ruler, this is drawn to scale so you can measure with it.

flying pig...another nod to Pink Floyd.

turpintine bottle...yep the culprit that started this explosion! lol not finished with this one yet, but it is what it is.

The melting shrap metal clock a nod to Pink, Floyd Alice in wonderland, and Dali. I love how this came out.

Would love to hear what you think!

Water color picture i made

This was a fun project! I made this on water color paper.
First you pick three colors and water color on a wash (wet paper) leaving some white showing no rhyme or reason just spread on some paint then sprinkle salt here and there. (dots in the paint) the salt actually repels the water colors. (must use good quality water colors for it to work well).

once the paper is dry usually overnight. You draw on your images, try to make them flow as if one design not separate ones. (make them grow from one another) Make sure that they are the same subject coming from within you. mine are dragons and myself each is a different type of dragon. The wyrm or baby from present day, the second is the medieval dragon of past and then the tribal dragon of the ancients. They are also from different cultures. But I will not go into that. lol

Sorry I'm sure you don't want a cultural, art and history lesson lol.
Next you ink the image and color them but not completely you want the water color to show through so it is like almost a thought or wispy dream like. Best way I can explain it.
I drew in with my Pitt pens some black and gray flames licking up from the base of the photo, like a burning passion. All art speaks what does this say to you?

Would love to hear your thoughts. Hope you like it!

Charcoal picture

This picture was made by using a charcoal stick. Which is compressed charcoal. You use a razor blade to shave small particles on a piece of paper and a set of blending stumps to shade the picture, in this case a banana pepper. There is no fine line drawing like for coloring book images or digi's the shape is created by shading not staring with a sketch but a blank paper and charcoal shavings.

This is very time consuming but very relaxing. I love doing projects and pics like this.

the white areas are the paper showing through where no charcoal is, the only color you use is black. the blending tools help achieve the various gray hues.

Charcoal projects have to be sealed so the charcoal does not rub off. I use working fixative this way if I want to go back and add more I can!

I hope you all like it!
Please  let me know what you think, or questions in the comments!

Happy crafting!

Super simple card

My mom's birthday is coming up and I made her a simple card because she just ends up tossing them out. So I make them short and sweet.
There are a lot of people out there that do not keep the cards the get, and there a some like me that have just about every card they have ever gotten. I used to store them in a photo box but that got messy. so I punched two holes in the sides os the cards and used rings to hook them together so they are like books!
Each one is a different celebration! And of course back in the shoe box they went!
I also discovered that I have received the same card for my birthday two years in a row, but at least it was from a different person! haha
Of course I DO NOT do that to handmade cards they are treasured and stored in boxes and celephane bags, and rotated out on display.

Anywho, here is the simple card! I know it is hard to see, but there a tiny stars on the paper! So cute DCWV stack spring fling I believe I used rhinestones in the corners a strip of ribbon and layered a die cut tag with studio G sentiment stamp!

The inside is a stamp I picked up at Tuesday Morning I'm not sure of the set name but if you want to know leave a comment and I will find out!
I colored the Balloons in with my spectrum noir markers, and used the small present stamp fron the set at the end of the Balloon string.

I think it turned out pretty cute. Despite it's severe simplicity! lol
Hope you like it!

Have a great day!

a few gift bags I made up

These are for a few friends on YT. I wanted to make them something for the holidays! i really hope they like them!

I altered brown lunch bags with some DCWV christmas papers  And made some matching cards to go with them. Tucked securely into the front pocket. I used lace ribbon and trims from my stash and cute erasers for an embellie! So cute!!
I also added some stickers from my stash.
I think they turned out really cute!
As you can see they are a little chunky but that is because i already filled them with a few goodies!
these are in reds.

THese are in blues. I wanted to use up as much of the paper as I could so there were not many scraps left.
I won't be sending these out just yet, I want them to get them before christmas but not before thanksgiving! lol So I will ship them out soon.

I had a blast making these, I hope you all like them!

Christmas simple card share

Hi everyone!

I have been really busy, working up some holiday cards to hand out to family and friends. I wanted to make some simple ones to hand out last minute if need be. Sometimes we have unexpected visitors for the holidays and I like to keep a few extra gifts on hand just for that reason so I need some cards to go with them.
These are super simple but pretty. I used scrap papers for the background DCWV chrsitmas stack and cut a strip about 1 inch to go across the center and fussy cut a poinsettia for the center. super quick and fun.

These next ones I decorated the envelopes and added a piece of cardstock matted with a 1 inch strip and candle stamp which I colored up with my spectrum markers. These are great to have on hand for extra little gifts. you can easily slip a gift card in with the card!

These are the same as above but they have a poinsettia sticker in their center. I love how easy these work up, that you can use your scraps and those left over envelopes.

Here are two cards I made for two ladies on YT I layered up some winter papers from DCWV, used some snowflakes from my fiskers punches with bling in the centers and I colored the image with my spectrum noir markers. The stamp is from a magazine I purchase.

I hope you all like them!

Crochet ornaments

I have started making some small holiday ornaments and I wanted to share!
I have made 14 of these in about an hour or two while catching up on some YT videos!
I am sending some  with some xmas goodies to a few YT friends, and keeping some for the family to put on their gifts as a little extra decoration.

Tiny little wreaths! My mom used to make these when we were little so I figured I would make some to hand out this year. They are super simple and really cute! they are great to use up some scraps also.

I hope you all like them.

Happy crafting!

Cards for a friend on YT

These are two cards I made for a freind on YT! Tina Cappa!! She is a sweetheart and has a bunch of great projects if you are not subbed to her you shoud be!

Here they are!

I think they came out pretty cute I really hope she likes them!

I used a martha stewart punch on the corners and added small cupcake stickers to the corners and glittered up the star/flower die cuts I had in my stash and placed a rhinestone in the center of each. I colored the cc design image with my spectrum noir markers and added a sweet little flower to her hair bow.

this little guy is from a stamp set I got with a magazine I purchased. I layered up some DCWV christmas stack papers and cut out a few poinsettias and adhered them down. I colored the bear wth my spectrum noir markers.

colors-
fur- eb5/ eb4/ eb3
hat and shirt- dr5
present- Jg1
ears inside- pp5
nose- true black

I think they turned out cute!
Thanks for stopping by!
Happy crafting!

Tall pockets

Well, I told you I was having fun creating pockets!
Here ia another type! Tall ones...ohhhh yes these are awesome!
I made these with more of that paper from the last two projects! :0( I found lurking mixed in with my brights! I must have been sleeping when I filed those away! lol
I had some leaf die cuts and wanted to use them up so I thought they would be greatas belly band decor! haha

I made these pockets taller for junk journals and mini album inserts. I am always looking for taller ones to hold concert tickets, not only for big bands but also classical performances and such. Many of the kids in our family are musically inclined (college) and we are forever attending performance after performance and the ticket stubs are long usually and flap all over with the smaller envies.
these are the perfect size! (because I made them to fit) lol

The back has a v shape..easy to get the items out! Guess what when you fold them that is how it looks no cutting or using a punch to get that design! I love it less work for me!
Hope you like them!
Have a great day!

Envies I made

I made these with left over papers from another project. Using my Martha stewart score board, punch and a digital sentiment.
They work up quick and are fun to make.

They can fit a chunky 3 by 3 card without a problem.

I made a belly band with scraps from the other envelopes. No scraps left after this project.
So in the futre I may just make cards and pockets out of the bigger scraps, so there is less accumlating and making my scrap bin over flow!

These would be good in smashbooks, on layouts, and junk journals. With Christmas coming I will be going through my scraps like crazy making these! (I hope so anyway, it is my goal!)

quick card share

I made these quick cute cards to give to my two older sisters and my mom for Thanksgiving!
We all love to laugh and joke around. So I came up with this off color saying!
It is available on my digi blog!
I Used scraps from my stash, DCWV papers and Darice cardstock.
The image itself I found on the net.
I thought my sentiment fit perfectly! lol
I colored him up with my spectrum noir markers, I am hooked on these tri cards!
Hope you like them!

I added some bling a stamp that says many thanks and a cornicopia that I colored!
I am excited to give them out!
Have a great day!
