How do you keep your feet warm?

I don't know about you but my feet are always cold in the winter! No matter what i wear on my feet some slippers help for a little while and sometimes some don't! :0(

I decided I was going to make my own slippers! So I came up with a cross between a slipper and a bootie! They kind of end up looking almost like socks! I do wear a pair of socks with these booties though it helps them hang on and stay a bit more insulated!

I love them...So does my daughter so I made her a pair also. I used double thread to make them, as I had no chunky yarn on hand and with the weather bring bad I was not venturing out to get some! haha so I made do!

Here is the result!

this one in blue and white is mine, they are so comfy I wear them all the time!

This is my daughters, and she wears hers all the time also.

I have to make some more masculine for my son and hubby once they pick their colors! these fit size 7-9 in ladies, but can be adjusted for other sizes.

hope you all like them! I do take special orders just message me!

I have started a learn to crochet series on my YT channel would love for you all to join me and remember to subscribe! (LTC series)

have a great day, stay warm and happy crafting everyone!

Here is that sneaky creeper!

a decorated gift box

I wanted to send a little something to my son for x mas since he was spending it with his dad. He didn't want me to send the bigger gifts so they will be waiting  here for him when he comes back!

I wanted to make it a little special so I decorated all the flaps and put notes on all the goodies inside! I had to leave a couple unwrapped because they wouldn't fit inside if they were.

It was so much fun and I got to use up some scraps in the process! ;0) If I have time all my packages will be sent like this...I am going to try but I make no promises..lol

Well here is what i did!

The completed box with all the yummy goodies!

A close up of all the yumminess! lol you can see all the little notes attached to each item! My son said that he really loved all the notes attached, that it really was the best. What can I say we work wonders for our children! lol

Here is the left flap! I used scrap papers mostly DCWV winter stack some images I had colored up! The bottom one in blue my daughter drew! The winter piece is a cut from my cricut.

Here is the top flap! I think it turned out cute! Again scraps and colored images plus each flap I add some tags if you follow them in order they tell a shortened reworked Christmas story! Twas the night before Christmas.

This is the bottom flap! I think this one may just be my favorite flap! Love it!

And here is the last flap the right side! Here the story ends and We have written a holiday message for him!
All in all instead of a card, the flaps do all the work! I really am happy with how this turned out!

This package will take him quite awhile to get through! It is packed full and messages on each one! I can not wait to hear from him! We may even facetime/skype while he opens it! lol That may be a long call! haha

I hope you all like it and it gives you some inspiration to dress up your packages to add that special touch! Happy Holidays Everyone!

Match box ornaments

Matchboxes

I made each of these by hand and decorated them with scrap pappers and embellished them with my handmade paper flowers. I also added a ribbon hanger/pull to the drawer part with a eyelit.

Here is one up close I think it came out beautifully.

I weven lined the inside of the drawers so it all ties in and to make it a bit sturdier. I am using these as an advent calender of sorts they will hang on my tiny tree and hold tiny treats for the twelve days of christmas.

I hope you like them!

Some paper ornaments

Here are a few of the ornaments I made. I was inspired by Cynthia who is the scrsppybookworm on YT. I have also made a video on these so please feel free to head to my YT channel.
I made four of each.

Here are the green ones all were made from paper scraps I am doing very good at depleting my scrsp bin! I added a stamped image to the center and a leaf I had left over from other projects.

Here on these which I call my red ones I added a red floer with a snowflake die cut and a circle folded up and a tile from Erica on top. Love it!

Here is my blue ones and I love these I added a blue and white flower a stamped image and two layered snowflakes with glitter. I think these are my fave.

I have hole punched them all and threaded an organza ribbon through each for hanging! Hope you all like them!

quick card share

I made these quick cute cards to give to my two older sisters and my mom for Thanksgiving!
We all love to laugh and joke around. So I came up with this off color saying!
It is available on my digi blog!
I Used scraps from my stash, DCWV papers and Darice cardstock.
The image itself I found on the net.
I thought my sentiment fit perfectly! lol
I colored him up with my spectrum noir markers, I am hooked on these tri cards!
Hope you like them!

I added some bling a stamp that says many thanks and a cornicopia that I colored!
I am excited to give them out!
Have a great day!

Happy Halloween!

Hi everyone!

I just waned to come on and wish you all a very happy Halloween!

We had a great time with our Halloween Bash! It was great fun!!

I wanted to share a bit of it with you all.

It started off on a bad note, when we woke the ground had been sprinkled with a dusting of snow! But the sun came out, melted it away and dried it all up! Which was awesome since we have a campout. The weather was fair a little windy but not too bad and the temp stayed above 35 degrees I believe the lowest it got was 37 we were lucky! One year we had snow and frost ended up retreating to the house about 5 am chilly!! lol And last year well it was cold and rainy but we braved it and stayed out sleeping beneath a large canopy tent!

Every year seems to have its quarks, but we wouldn't change the memories for the world! This year the theme was Medieval Time now mind you everyone is very creative and some decided that if the costume had a sword it fit others believed they time travelled and that is how they arrived to be in this time! lol

Anywhich way it is all in good fun and we all had a great time! Many costumes were hand mand a few were put together from store bought items. I had plenty of pics and vid but can not include it all due to requests of a few to stay out of the posts so pretty much all the work of decorations will not be able to be shown, there are a few that will be though.

I am also going to post to My YT channel as well! A total of three videos on YT!!!! :0)

I do not know about you and yours, but when we have parties there is always at least one picture of food! lol

A few guests arriving...usually they are late this year they all came 2 hours early!! Yep, so we just rolled with it! lol

I know you all have been curious...yep here I am with Hubby!

This is one of two of our photo op spots!  every year we try to have at least one themed photo spot. We were lucky there was a hanging! lol I wanted to get some night shots but it didn't work out the entire outside was set with strobes it looked pretty cool! flashing creepy tombs and electronic creatures that are sound activated...oooh creepy!

Many like to pose and position the skeleton, some were a little well no matter trying to keep it all ages friendly, so I decided not to post lol Myself included! lol

Some came as characters from books. Which I thought ws awesome!

The good fryer sharing some wisdom and lending a hand! lol
My family cracks me up!

A shot of Steve from Minecraft guys and a bit of the festival area! and of course the time machine that brought the time travellers lol yep mom had to park there! oh well!  hahaha

The great wise wizard (dad) at the fire, he was eager to start the stories and roast! The best part that everyone looks forward to!

Here is a creepy guy I made. Old clothes a mask some wood, pvc pipe and made his hands from wire and clay.  The ranger looks like she is ready to shoot and Copper her pup is watching! lol

Here is the crazy reaper, we call him charlie! This is part of the quest area! Everyone pics a quest and they have to complete the obstacle course to claim their reward! I had enough prizes for all. It was a blast! I just wish I had pics from it but seeing as I was running the quests it was hard to get them.

this is part of the graveyard, full of bones tombs, groundbreakers, spider webs, coffin, and strobes as well as some motion sensitive props.

Finally the highlight of the night, the Fire! yep, we are just getting started so some are off grabbing the wood from the pile others are changing out of their costumes, and some getting warm drinks and setting up the food to roast!
Nothing beats stories around a fire! yep ever seat was filled and so were the benches and some sat on the grass!

We stayed up really late and woke early to a large southern breakfast and danish, everyone left before lunch, and we broke it all down by supper!
Why is it always easier to break down then set up? lol
We still have a few decorations but most of it outdoors is gone, we don't have any trick or treaters here and it is sad,That is one thing I miss from our old place! We used to have loads of kids! oh well!

Hope you all Have a Frightfully Happy Halloween!

First Halloween project for the year!

I Love Halloween! It is my favorite holiday and time of year! All the smells, the fall foliage it is all so breathtakingly beautiful! Love, love ,love this season...I do not care for the super cold nights and winter getting closer though! lol

Ever since I was a child I loved and looked forward to Halloween! The idea of dressing up was the draw I believe...Don't get me wrong the candy was awesome too! All the parties and trick or treating...those were the days...

I remember going out with my friends, walking around the neighborhood til late at night about 10 pm. We would walk the whole neighbood and we had such a good time. Every year there was a party at our church and they had games and food and costume contests...It was good times...

It is a shame that our kids miss out...That is why I have a huge party for them every year, even though some of them are adults now they look forward to the fun and games. This year we are doing Medieval Time Period (theme) I am so excited, lots of fun we will have!

Decorations, invitations, food, games, campfire and campout...yes you heard me right we have a over night party and serve breakfast the following day and then every one parts ways. (Sat dinner- Sun Breakfast) it does get cold so some do venture inside to sleep but some weather the cold in tents with loads of blankets by the fire...(we keep going to the wee hours)

Our party has become tradition, we have been doing it so long...no one wants it to stop, so we keep on each year with a new theme!

Here are the invitations for this years event!

This is my nephews invite all of them are the same! A treasure chest from the Royal Court (thats me lol) Each one has a name label on the front for the recipient.

I used memento inks to stamp the images. The stamps are from the girls paperie, inkadinkadoo, and TPC, the cardstock I used is from Darice the chocolate lovers stack (8 1/2 by 11).

inside I put a few goodies as well as some party info! you know the basics just details of where, when, and what not!

The campfire card in yellow and orange I used stickles on, it has the info for itinerary by the fire and over night camping.

The card with the gold embossed trophy contains info on the Medieval games that will be taking place.

The rolled scroll has all the basic party info and is tied with twine, the message was written on adding machine tape, love it, looks just like old parchment!

I also included a lollipop and butterscotch candies (royal gold lol) I added a trick or treat circle popdotted embellishment with a spider in center to one of the butterscotch candies.

I made these assembly line style, like many of my projects for family...there are a lot of us! I got them all done and so everyone has time to get their costumes ready I will be handing/mailing  these babies out today! Some make their own costumes so with every ones busy schedules I have to sent them out this early so everyone has a chance to get them done!

On to the next project! lol

Remember to vote...bottom left of blog! I appreciate it!
Havve a great day!
