Time to do dishes...

I really dislike doing dishes!
I don't mind cooking or baking but washing dishes is a dirty job,
and I'm the one to do it! LOL (A line from an eighties song) ;)

I am really not a fan of the dish drains that sit out on the counter and the commercial towels for the dishes are plain and average.
So I have been making my own for awhile now. I have a blue set that I love and use daily. But I need more for when one is in the wash. So this is what I just finished!

I used 100% cotton and a simple knit pattern. The cotton comes on a large spool and i love this variegated green. It has cream, blue and green and i love how it works up.
this is a project I dawdle on I am eager to start then about half way i putter out. I lose drive but then as it gets closer to the end i speed up and am happy i have a new cloth and happy i am done! Lol

It is a love hate relationship. If i could speed up the process i would enjoy it more. Hahaha
Needless to say it may be just a bit before I cast the next one one. ;)

I will have a YT video on this later in the week, be sure to stop by and check it out!
Thanks for spending some time with me!

New Project Finished!

I am super happy I have finished another project.
I made a new pattern as I went along and this is what I came up with! I really am happy to get my yoga mat out from under the couch where i can see it and be reminded to use it more LOL!

I choose pink and black yarn and went to town crocheting!
Here it is folded up actually only in half really.

I thought pink and black were a natural choice considering my mat is pink and I like to match. Here I placed the bag over the mat so you can see it is a full size yoga mat.

Even with the mat in the bag there is plenty of room to add a towel and weights too maybe even your yoga clothes. Mine fit well with a bit of room to spare.

It also has a thick double icord strap that cinches the mat securely like a drawstring. Super easy to open and close and the mat slides in easily no struggling to be had. Just put another on my to do list for my daughter. These are great to gift especially for those people in your life that exercise but have everything.

Thanks for spending some time with me today I appreciate it! Keep an eye on my YT for the video!

A.C. crochet Cowl

Hey guys!
I have my first fall item finished! YAY!! lol
I was looking for a simple but elegant fun accessory for the fall wardrobe and this is what i came up with! My daughter said it reminded her of the video  game Assassins Creed hence the name. haha

here you can see the ribbing i did that runs the back of the cowl it is like an elegant Mohawk so to speak. plus it helps to denote the back side.

You can wear this as a normal cowl around your neck it gives really nice coverage keeping you snug and free of the cooler fall drafts.

Here it is propped on the crown of your head allowing the font part of your hair to be quite visible but still very comfy and provides freedom from those pesky drafts, while still looking stylish.

Here i pulled it forward to close around the face to protect from those nasty drafts and spiraling winds that come in the late fall and early winter.

Need to cool off because overheating? hotflashes or just normal increase in body temp you can open up the base by the neck and allow a bit of air flow.

I love the versatility of a cowl and the subtle detail in this one is no exception can be worn dressed up or casual. Perfect for any chilly to absolute freezing day!

Here is a profile I love the texture the stitches create looks good from all angles.

And here is what it looks like from the back. I know we all wonder that and sometimes its hard to see that for ourselves when wearing it. I really think this is a great cowl for all occasions.

Perfect for gift giving too!
I will post a YT video for this this week so be sure to stop by my YT channel and check it out!
Thanks for stopping by have a great day!
Til next time!

Pokemon!

Im sure you have seen the craze by now about pokemon go.
My kids have been pokemon fans since they came out in the 90's, so it is natural that I make crafts that are inspired by it!

I myself do like pokemon but have not yet been swept up into the go craze. I say yet lol
I have recently been working on a few projects for a few upcoming birthdays and wanted to share with you all what i have been up to.

I do post to social media as well so please follow me if you are interested in seeing other creations i may not post here or on YT.

I love how these turned out! well, with the exception of the one that opens. However it isn't bad...
I will have a YT video available this week if you want to check it out!

I really love these they are perfect for the older kids whom all are drivers away at college!
I really love this project and hope you do also!

Here is the one i am not too happy about but I will make it work. Next time I believe I will make it in one piece to make it more round and not pill like in shape.
I do love the fact that you can stuff items inside and it is a gift in a gift!

Here it is closed see what i mean about pill shaped? yea no matter i know the kiddo getting this will not mind especially after it is opened and the gift inside is revealed. lol

Thanks for stopping by I will see you in the next post! Have a great week!

Tim Burton Anyone?

Halloween is my favorite holiday of all!
I love fall and everything that comes with it! Scary movies are the bomb, and all things spooky scary creepy and gory...not too gory. LOL

I have found either you are a fan of Burton or you are not, I have not found many in between.

I am a fan however and love OOGIE BOOGIE!

Here is a recent project I finished for my daughter. I actually finished this in two days. I most likely could have done it in one but i started late, very late one evening and finished it the next day. LOL

I really like how it turned out. I will have a video of this very soon on my YT channel so please look out for it.

But for now here is the finished picture for a sneak peak.

If you follow me on facebook you may have already seen this cutie!
As I was excited to share him!

Thanks for stopping by see you all next time!

It's been too long.

Life has definitely gotten the best of me, especially the last few years... if you follow me on yt you probably already know half the story... I was diagnosed with Hasimotos thyroiditis, hypothyroidism, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, ibs, anxiety and depression. I after a few years and many many doctor visits, plus a multitude of lifestyle changes am finally getting a bit of relief and hope that things are getting better in my life. I have lost roughly 30 or so pounds and am feeling much better about myself. I have struggled with losing weight the past three or four years, so it was nice to finally see some improvement. I'm an instant satisfaction type of girl in this department of my life. Lol. I still have my good days and my bad days. The bad unfortunately still outweigh the good but I'm working to try to improve that. I do not want this to be so heavy but I'm not quite sure there is a lighter way to discuss the journey I have been on for what seems eons... so I think brief and straightforward is the best...fits my personality anyways. Haha. I have also been going through a divorce which has been stressful but a blessing in disguise. It really has helped me to become stronger and no lie healthier...I know some are saying that's sad, I'm sorry, you're heartless, cold...umm no it wasn't a good situation and now things are finally coming together in my life...it really is a blessing.  I'm not sure what else to say except I will be slowly getting back on my social media accounts so if you are interested head over and follow me, and if you have any questions, concerns leave a message, or comment and I will do my best to get back to you asap. Have a great Day!
